Temple Time

Today is the last day of the lunar year. Tết Eve so to speak. School and office are already closed so we did a nice morning walk to our temple.

Everywhere around the temple area people were busy preparing for the upcoming festivities. From experience we know that the first few days of the new year, everybody and their whole family flocks to the temple to pay their respects to the various deities and their ancestors.

Here some ladies frying fresh bánh tôm.

And since this was not enough work out, after J & R were safely back home, I donned my running gear and headed to the dragons, and then back to the temple and then back home, 11km in total.

And after a nice shower it was time for lunch and we had a wonderful family burger lunch again. Our pals at Tracy’s were still operating despite the whole new year’s hooplah.
