Feeding the shark (video)

I know, i know … there was just a video with a similar title … but it really is a new video :)

This time it is about ‘how to get my toddler to eat something else but carbohydrates’ …

Tonight’s dinner was a Thai red duck curry (losely based on this recipe) and Julius mainly went for the rice (with furikake, good Japanese boy that he is) so I had to play the old shark game (with music) to get him to eat the duck (spicy) and some peas.

That is the cutest thing I have ever seen. Julius is adorable and we are taking notes on the “shark method” of feeding for when Zubin is older. He has recently gone on a bread-and-cheese only hunger strike, but that has led to some “technical” problems, on which see Veronica’s latest blog entry for more (!)… anyway, he’s not old enough to get the shark, or choo choo train, or any other coaxing method yet. Ah well, at least he’s eating something.

We have taking notes on the Shark Method too! Trying the airplane with Sophie. And also the “look at mummy eat nice mushed peas aren’t they yummy” method. Limited sucess. The kid is a boob addict.
