Puntine with Broccoli

Tonight’s dinner was spare ribs (puntine), which are sold here separately (not on the rack) and I just created a make shift marinate of oil, spices, tons of garlic, ketchup, vinegar, sugar (basically a BBQ sauce) and then covered it in onions. Then a bit more than one hour in the oven (if you have the time, do it longer at lower temp)

With that some stir fried / steamed broccoli and toasted pine nuts …

Julius just loved that he was allowed to eat with his hands!

  1. Looks delicious Peter! I have a recipe for ribs marinated in small-batch artisan beer … your post makes me want to try it sooner rather than later.

Looks crispy and tasty. Actually in Vietnam internet access isn’t really a problem. There’s Wifi popping up all over the places at every which cafe and the connection speed is pretty decent. Facebook is currently blocked although there’s supposedly ways around it. The local Vietnamese TV programming includes a few American channels such as HBO (Asian edition), Star Movies, Discovery Channel, National Geographic and a few more- although they are quite fuzzy for some reason at random times. The short answer is you never know what you can expect in this country, which makes living here both frustrating and exhilarating. Side note: My dad was born in Trentino Alto-Adige.
