Santa & the Men in Black (on a train)

On our way back yesterday, after an eventful (and food-full) day of adventure, we met Santa Claus on a train! It seems the economy has hit him as well, there was no money for a sleigh this year and only one reindeer. But instead he got 4 body guards.

He handed out gifts to children (but Ritsu got a pair of gloves) and they all posed nicely for photos. None of them said a word.

We were wondering about the whole thing and our best theory so far is that this might have been some initiation / exercise for an improv / comedy / theater group … like ‘stay 2 hours in character, don’t say a word’.

I of course expected that they will start a song and then ask for money, but this is Japan, all good, clean fun.
