This is actually already the 2nd international day this year, but I guess they go by school year and the last one was in February. Why they changed the date, no idea, but it was a great day.
It starts early with the parade of nations and that all goes surprisingly smooth. Then each nation gives greetings in their language. It is great for kids to see all the different costumes (yes, even some parents dress up! I ended up accompanying the only Nepalese guy in the parade) and get a sense for how vast and different this world is.
Then there was a speech by the elementary school dean which was pretty awesome: “We have to live together, but it is our choice to live together happily!”
As usual Julius walked with the Japanese group and hopefully for the last time in his Ninja costume
